With the increasing concern for the impact that seismic exploration has on the environment, Bertram Drilling designed and fabricated a compact drill, mounted on a small track driven carrier.  Roll Over Protection Systems (R.O.P.S.) are built into the cabs, and the units are designed for  air, hammer, or auger drilling. A licensed dynamite magazine is mounted on each for remote locations.  Unlike other smaller units, these are mounted with tanks to carry up to 2700 litres/600 gallons of water,  limiting unnecessary travel for water and thereby lessening the impact on the environment.  Part of these L.I.S. drills'  unique design is an innovative  dust suppression system.
